EASTSIDE MINIMALIST
We were invited by Golesh Architecture and the client to collaborate on a beautiful new construction in Redmond. This is a full garden redesign with three distinct spaces. The Entry Experience, Family Gathering in a protected backyard, and The Park, which is a large area of native forest.
Our first priority has been working to rehabilitate the forest, long unmanaged and overgrown with invasive species. Blackberries have been removed, and trees have been marked and removed by an arborist due to pest damage. We worked closely with the client to select new flowering and fruiting species that will provide seasonal interest and forage for pollinators and birds throughout the year.
Additionally, the client has a preference for big-leafed tropical species reminiscent of their Indian heritage. It has been a joy to source unique species that fullfill this brief.
